My Visit to Korea Part 1: Nfu-oh (The Mothership)

So I hate to admit it but one of the things I was most looking forward to doing on our trip was going to Nfu-oh headquarters. I'm sure you fellow nail polish addicts understand, though! It's a pretty big place, it looks like it used to be an actual salon but now it's mostly a warehouse/showroom. As always, click to enlarge the photos.

*drool*

Holos and flakies (among others)

My haul:

GS14, 39, 51, 52, 59, 60, 61, 66

68, 69, 70, 119, 435, 534, 553, 557, Aqua Base

Here are some quick 'n' dirty swatches:
Thumb to pinky: GS14, 39, 51, 52, 59; one coat of each, no top or base coat

Pinky to thumb: 60, 66, 68, 69, 70; two coats of 66 and 70, one coat of the rest, no base or top coat

Better shot of 66

Thumb to pinky: 119, 435, 534, 553, 557; three coats of 119, two coats each of the rest, no base or top coat

And of course, the famed 61. Even in this picture it looks amazing but the picture really does not do it justice! It's truly amazing IRL.

Here are some swatches of their gel polish line, Gelist, but they are not available for export yet. Please enlarge the pictures, some of them have very pretty shimmer and microglitter finishes.

Whew! So much polish, I hope it doesn't get confiscated!

  3. GAH! I think I would have asked if they could put them all in a big pile so I could roll around in them. LOL This looks like it was a BLAST!

  4. I'm so jealous! If I know I wished you could've picked up more!! :( *jelly* But nonetheless, awesome eye photos♥

  5. Jealous! Is it much cheaper or about the same?! I'll send a list to my mom when she goes to Taiwan next time since they get it, only if it's cheaper though. Bet you had a blast!

  6. Haha, thanks everyone! It was really amazing, I could not stop looking around. I feel like I should have bought more but I was overwhelmed! Literally hundreds of colors *_*

Kitty, they were around $4-8. I don't know how much they are in Taiwan, but when my BF checked in Beijing they were expensive, like $15-30.

  8. Hi, are these Nfu.Oh you got from Nfu.Oh's mothership only cost $US4-8 per bottle? Is the mothership shop in Seoul? After seeing your blog, I'm seriously thinking using some kind of Korean online shopping service to get these babies.
But after some google search,I found out Nfu.Oh sold in Korea online from w28000-w35000 per bottle, which equal to $US25-32. So exsy:(

  9. Jaz, thanks!

Jia, yup, the prices ranged from $4-8 USD each. Sorry about the prices, what country are you in? There are a few websites out there that sell Nfu-oh for much less.

  10. Really! They are only US$4-8 each in the shop! I don't know why they are so overpriced online. I'm in Australia. Nfu.oh flakes here are AUD15 each and Holo are AUD18 each. They're not ridiculously priced, but certainly are not cheap. I think South Korea will be my next holiday destination. Haha

  11. It really is a cool place, and there's lots of other fun polish and makeup! AUD15 is quite expensive, fabuloustreet.com ships to the US and they charge $12.50 each, not too bad considering the fact that shipping is free.

  12. Amazing, I'm so jealous of you!!

I have a friend who will be going to Seoul soon, so I'd ask her to get me some Nfu-Oh if she could! where is the shop you went to? where else can you get Nfu-Oh polishes in Seoul?

  13. CaCa, I think the Nfu-oh headquarters is the only place you can get them in Korea. I don't remember where it was exactly but the address is on the website. There's also a map, it will help if she prints it out and shows it to a cab driver.

  14. Thanks L! My friend is in Seoul now and she told me she saw that a bottle of Nfu Oh is $35 AUD each? I'm totally shocked!!! Guess I'd have to restore to ordering them online, but many thanks for your help!

  15. Wow! Did she actually go to the showroom or was it somewhere else? It might be more expensive if you go elsewhere.
