Diamond Cosmetics Chainmail Charm

Hello everyone from Vegas! It's my first time here in maybe 20 years or so, and to celebrate I wanted to do something sparkly. I decided to try out my first holo:

Diamond Cosmetics Chainmail Charm! It's even more sparkly and holographic in the sun, I can't stop looking at it! The base is kind of a dark, brownish gray and in the shade it looks like there is silver microglitter, but of course in the light it has that holographic rainbow effect. Love it!

The formula on this was okay, a bit runny but not too hard to work with. I am wearing three thin coats, but I think a lot of people could do with two.

I cut my nails and I'm still getting used to the length and shape, but I think I like it!

Dior Sweet Orange

I absolutely loved this color in swatch pictures and in the bottle, but I'm not sure yet if it really works with my skin tone:

It looks more peach in the shade and coral in the sunlight, with gold flecks. Maybe it would look better on toes or shorter nails; it kind of reminds me of the late 80s/early 90s right now. I think it might also look better on someone with paler or darker skin than mine, my hands are pretty much a medium olive.

Let's Go, Dodgers!

Tried to figure out a mani for the Dodgers game later today, and this is the best I could do:
Photobucket
Not the most creative, but I like the little hearts! There's a blue, heart-shaped rhinestone on my ring finger, although it's hard to see against the polish. I used Love & Beauty Blue (found at Forever 21), and it was a one-coater! I really like the color; in the bottle it looks like a brighter royal blue, but it's darker on the nail. It's pretty much a plain, flat blue, no green or purple undertones, no shimmer or glitter, perfect for a Dodgers game!

First French!

I did my first French today! I tried using the guide stickers but it messed up the polish and I was too impatient to wait until it was completely dry, so I free-handed it.
Photobucket
It ended up looking a lot more "natural" than I had intended, partially because both polishes were more sheer than I had anticipated, partially because the "white" is actually a lot more cream than I thought.

I used Essie Petal Pink and Diamond Cosmetics Like Satin, two coats of each. Like Satin is only $1!

Here's my haul from the past couple of weeks!

I put in a huge order with Diamond Cosmetics and also bought a Dior polish on ebay, hopefully they get here soon!

Orly Plastix Purple Pleather

My first matte/satin polish:

The formula on this one is pretty good, not too thick or liquid, easy to work with. This is three coats, but I tend to do really thin layers so this is probably the equivalent of two normal coats. The finish is satin, not super matte and not glossy. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, I think the fact that it's purple reminds me of latex clothing, like a latex fetish for your fingers. I think this would look cuter on short nails.

I bought a pack of the Plastix minis, so I'm excited to try the other colors. I think the satin (or latex, as I like to call it) finish would look better on the brighter colors.

Diamond Cosmetics Oh Tiff! and my first Konadicure

First, here's my swatch of Diamond Cosmetics Oh Tiff!

Really pretty Tiffany blue w/ a very subtle shimmer. Love it! Supposedly a dupe of Chanel Nouvelle Vague.

Here is my first Konad stamping attempt using plate M71 and Konad Special Polish in white.
Photobucket
It was really hard! It was a lot messier than I expected b/c of having to clean up everything in between and it was hard to get the stamp straight. Hopefully I will get better at it! The jewels I bought off ebay.
